- 1 lb. posta de res para guisar
- 5 lts. de agua

- 1/4 cdita. de comino

- 1 cebolla mediana
- 1 chile pimiento
- 2 corazones de apio sin hojas
- 3 hojas laurel
- 2 tallitos de tomillo
- 1 cdita. de ajo en polvo (o tres dientes de ajo finamente picado)
- 100 grs. pasta de tomate
- 1 tz. consomé de res
- 3 oz. de jerez (opcional)
- 1 cda. cilantro finamente picada
- 3 cdas. aceite de oliva (o aceite vegetal)
- al gusto sal y pimienta
Instructions to make to make Carne Guisada
- Un día antes, ponemos a cocer la carne en los 5 litros de agua con la sal, pimienta, comino y ajo. Al hervir el cocido bajamos el fuego y lo dejamos cociendo unas dos horas para suavizar la carne.

- Sacamos la carne y 1 taza de consomé, reservándole para el guiso. (Al consomé restante le podemos agregar cebolla, apio y cilantro picado y dejamos hervir, tendremos un caldito de entrada)

- Cortamos la cebolla, pimiento y apio en julianas y lo sofreímos en el aceite de oliva, dentro de una olla.

- Seguimos agregando la carne con el laurel, tomillo, ajo, sal y pimienta, sofriendo junto a los vegetales unos 5 a 7 minutos.

- Luego se agrega la pasta de tomate, el caldo de res y el jerez (si desea), se tapa y al hervir se baja el fuego dejando cocer unos 15 minutos.

- Se apaga el fuego y se finaliza agregando el cilantro. Tapamos y listo para poner a la mesa.

- Puedes acompañar con arroz blanco o macarrones en mantequilla, en fin, la guarnición de tu preferencia.
